A non-occupying co-Borrower on an existing FHA-insured Mortgage may qualify for an FHA-insured Mortgage on a new Property to be their own Principal Residence.
This only works one way – FHA doesn’t allow a borrower who already has a FHA mortgage to be a non-occupying co-borrower on another FHA mortgage.  They can only obtain another FHA mortgage if they are currently a non-occupant coborrower on an existing FHA mortgage and want to obtain FHA financing for their primary residence.
